How to analyze the Active Health System Log in HP Servers

Description
In the HP server ranging from Gen8 to upwards, active health system log is in a format which can not be read with text reader. There fore in order to find if there is any error, this log has to send to HP support.


Fix
* There is a web site, portal to be specific just for analyze the AHS logs from HP Gen8 servers. Portal address is given below


* There are two separate logins for the portal as "HP employees login" and "HP passport login". If one is not an HP employee, he or she should have a HP passport login.






* When logged in with the "HP Passport Login", users will presented with the below page.


* As in above up screen one can upload AHS log file to the portal for analysis which the maximum capacity is 250MB. In order to get required capacity user can filter by date, when collecting the AHS log. 



* Among the several features, which AHS analyzer provides, below option compares the firmware versions with the currently available firmware version of the current SSP. But in some cases what the SSP version available in the portal is one less than of what actually available. Therefore it serviceable to check the HP software repository for the latest SSP before come to an conclusion about firmware versions provided in below screen.
